Not your run of the mill bar band, the BEAT TRAIN duo comes with years of pro entertainment experience, and have incorporated decades of knowing what works, and what people want to hear into a cohesive, volume-controlled show... no five-minute filler guitar solos, no ten-minute jams of mid-tempo rock dirges... just bulletproof, sing-a-long, familiar Motown, Rock and Roll, and R&B hits from the 60’s and 70’s... tunes that connect with ALL ages.
Drummer Carl “Dubba” Holz hails from Boston’s Berklee School of Music, and has toured internationally, sharing the stage with too many national acts to mention. “Gunny” Jeff Norman has performed on six continents, and is recognized all across the Front Range as a pro producer, bandleader and performer. Just their local venue history includes Red Rocks, Colorado State Fair, Taste of Colorado, Peoples Fair, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Little Bear, Soiled Dove, Hard Rock Cafe, most every country club, and on and on...
BEAT TRAIN is a relatively new act, born from Carl and Jeff seeing an aching need for affordable, fun, live music for venues and events working with smaller space and budget requirements, and though just launched in the late summer of 2009, is already a crowd favorite in regular rotation at several Denver area hot spots.
